Job summary

Brandeis University seeks a Study Abroad Advisor in the Office of Study Abroad to guide students choosing off-campus study options for Brandeis degree credits and to manage processes for affiliate partner programs abroad.

The role includes advising on program selection, transfer credit, applications, and financial resources, plus supporting students before, during, and after study abroad. Supervises 10–14 ambassadors and maintains social media and events.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required; MA/MS preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant job experience is required.
  • Knowledge of a second language; familiarity with higher education in other countries.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Terra Dotta, Workday, and design platforms desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Advise students about appropriate off-campus study programs from a portfolio of more than 200 approved programs in 50 countries; conduct in-person or virtual advising appointments and information sessions.
  • Support students through applications, financial resources, credit transfer, Brandeis policies, health and safety, cultural adjustment, and other academic and non-academic issues before, during, and after study abroad.
  • Oversee deadlines and requirements for semester and summer affiliate programs including course evaluations and application management.
  • Manage the Study Abroad Office social media, design and present sessions with other offices and departments, and organize large events to promote study abroad.
  • Supervise 10-14 Study Abroad Ambassadors with weekly/bi-weekly meetings and support, helping them meet office priorities.
