Job summary

The University of South Alabama's Office of International Education is seeking an Education Abroad Advisor to advise students on study abroad opportunities and promote programs across campus. The role includes coordinating information sessions, maintaining affiliate relationships, and serving as a primary resource on education abroad opportunities.

Preferred candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and experience in an education abroad or international services setting, with strong communication

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience in an education abroad or international services setting is preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Advises students on education abroad opportunities and promotes study abroad across campus.
Coordinates and conducts student abroad information sessions, presentations and workshops.
Maintains affiliate relationships and serves as a primary source of knowledge about study abroad opportunities on campus.
Coordinates study abroad information sessions in the fall and spring.
Assists with the marketing and promotion of study abroad to the campus.
Supports events such as study abroad fairs and International Education Week, including nights/weekends.
