Job summary

RECARO is seeking a Buyer for Plastics & Composites at our Fort Worth, Texas site. You will lead procurement of thermoforming, injection mold plastics and composite materials, suppliers, and related services, driving value, quality, and on-time delivery across the supply chain.

The role requires collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing, active cost reduction, contract negotiations, master data management in ERP, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 3+ years in procurement, or 7+ years without a degree.
• Experience with thermoforming, injection molding, or composites is a plus.
• Willingness to travel across the United States as required.

Responsibilities

• Procure plastics (thermoforming/injection mold) and composite materials, components, and services.
• Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and oversee cost-saving initiatives.
• Maintain contracts and source rules in the ERP system; coordinate engineering changes.
• Lead supplier qualification, risk assessment, and on-time delivery monitoring.
