Job summary

Fresh Del Monte Produce Company is seeking a Senior Director of SOX Governance to lead global internal controls and SOX compliance across the enterprise from headquarters in Coral Gables, FL. The role emphasizes risk assessment, policy development, and collaboration with IT, finance, and operations to strengthen financial controls.

Responsibilities include directing SOX program strategy, coordinating with internal and external auditors, and mentoring regional teams to ensure timely remediation

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising and developing staff.
• Solid understanding of SOX testing methodologies, PCAOB, and COSO.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and influencing skills.
• Strong project management and data analysis; proficient in Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Visio.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the global strategic direction of Internal Controls and SOX Governance.
• Advise management on internal controls for major transformational projects.
• Conduct risk assessments for ICFR scoping under SOX.
• Lead SOX documentation and control ownership across processes.
• Support IT team in annual SOC report review.
• Develop and monitor key SOX metrics and timelines.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to strengthen internal controls.
• Train owners on internal controls and SOX compliance.
