Job summary

ITW Food Equipment Group in Ohio seeks a Global Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead worldwide procurement for components, electrical equipment and strategic suppliers, collaborating with engineering, operations and NPD to optimize cost, quality and supply continuity.

Based in Troy or Hillsboro with about 25% travel, you will shape category strategies, run tenders, manage supplier performance and align sourcing with future product roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years in supply chain; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years in strategic sourcing in industrial manufacturing; capital equipment preferred.
• Experience developing category and supplier strategies and leading sourcing processes.
• Strong negotiation, contracting and risk management knowledge.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge including Kanban and vendor-managed inventory.
• Experience with total-cost and target-costing methods and market intelligence.
• Ability to influence and lead cross-functional global teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and improve global sourcing processes and category strategies.
• Build a pipeline of sourcing opportunities and deliver cost reductions and value improvements.
• Lead global tenders, supplier selection and negotiations with terms and supply commitments.
• Use total-costing, benchmarking and market intelligence to improve sourcing decisions.
• Benchmark suppliers and assess make-or-buy options and low-cost-country sourcing.
• Develop relationships with strategic suppliers and set governance standards.
• Lead supplier risk and resilience strategies across regions.
• Coordinate cross-region sourcing projects and promote standardized processes.
• Provide supplier data dashboards and communicate project status.
• Coach local procurement teams to strengthen capability and execution.
