Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Sr. Sourcing Director for external manufacturing to lead strategic contract manufacturing, OEM and sterilization service relationships, ensuring capacity and performance to support growth and innovation.

You will influence executive decisions, drive operational excellence, and help bring new products to scale while managing supplier risk and cost of ownership across global networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related discipline and 15+ years of progressive experience in global supply chain or logistics and 10+ years managerial experience.
• Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related discipline and 10+ years of progressive experience in global supply chain or logistics and 10+ years managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier relationship management and executive partnerships with contract manufacturing.
• Oversee commercial agreements and contractual obligations.
• Drive supplier performance, business reviews and accountability.
• Champion operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Plan capacity, launches, and ramp readiness with cross-functional teams.
• Shape manufacturing footprint and partner strategy.
• Manage supplier risk and business continuity plans.
• Provide project management and sourcing guidance to cross-functional teams.
• Develop and execute long-term supplier strategies to optimize quality, cycle time, technology, risk and total cost.
• Negotiate and monitor supplier performance against agreements.
