Job summary

New Era Cap, LLC, headquartered in Buffalo, NY, seeks a Sr. Coordinator, Global Sourcing to drive end-to-end product development across headwear, apparel, and accessories. You will coordinate with Merchandising, Design, License Management, and global suppliers to meet timelines and target costs.

This on-site role emphasizes collaboration, cost management, and supplier engagement, with responsibilities from TAC to sample management, costing, and quality oversight.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating offshore product development with global suppliers.
• Ability to evaluate sample quality, construction, materials, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Knowledge of fabric, trim, embellishment, and raw-material development and approval processes.
• Strong cross-functional communication and supplier-management skills.
• Ability to interpret specifications, tech packs, BOMs, and product development documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and related business applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Merchandising, Design, License Management, Production, Planning, Logistics, Customer Service, Social Compliance, Quality, Raw Materials, and Innovation teams to execute end-to-end product development and TAC.
• Execute seasonal sourcing and supplier allocation decisions per the global sourcing strategy.
• Coordinate product development with global suppliers across regions, ensuring clear requirements, priorities, and timelines.
• Manage sample development from prototype through production approval, including testing and pre-production samples.
• Ensure PLM data is complete and up-to-date; coordinate on-time shipment of samples.
• Review samples for quality and communicate timely corrections with suppliers and internal partners.
• Interpret specifications and tech packs; work with Design and suppliers to optimize cost and manufacturability.
• Analyze quotations and costs; support negotiations to improve margins without compromising quality.
• Recommend cost-management actions to address lead times, MOQs, or other challenges.
• Support supplier allocation decisions with the best balance of cost, quality, delivery, and capacity.
• Coordinate development, testing, and forecasting of fabrics and trims for bulk production.
• Ensure all approvals, costing, and information are complete before POs are issued.
• Track milestones and escalate risks affecting quality, cost, or delivery.
• Develop and maintain reporting metrics for sourcing and development.
