Job summary

New Era Cap, LLC seeks a Global Sourcing Coordinator to support the global sourcing strategy and product development at our Buffalo, NY headquarters. You will work with design, merchandising, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, cost-effective merchandise delivered on schedule.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in global sourcing, experience negotiating with suppliers, and familiarity with PLM and SAP systems. This is an on-site role with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Product Development, Merchandising, Textile Design or relevant field preferred; relevant job experience in lieu of degree will be considered
• 1–3 years of global sourcing experience; experience with global suppliers preferred
• Experience negotiating finished goods costing
• Experience establishing credible relationships with suppliers, customers, and employees with proven results
• Proficient in Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based applications
• PLM and SAP experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and develop relationships with internal customers to execute the product development process
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a reliable supply chain
• Able to understand and achieve key milestones in the product lifecycle timelines driven by the company product development and production calendars
• Able to interpret specs and development BOMs and communicate with design and suppliers to maximize design and minimize cost
• Issue, monitor and execute protos and sales samples development requests, ensuring on-time delivery
• Manage proto samples packing, labeling, and storage to maintain a clean working environment
• Enter and manage all development details including timelines and costing in PLM
• Skilled in controlling costs and optimizing expenses to support margin targets
• Identify excessive lead time or minimum order challenges during development
• Assist in development of new fabric and trims to support finished goods production
• Ensure raw materials are developed, approved and forecasted prior to order placement
• Prepare and present product line handoff meetings; communicate delivery requirements to production teams
• Analyze supply chain data, identify trends, and generate reports for decision-making
• Understand organizational role and contribute to company goals
• Keep all sensitive matters confidential
• Other duties as assigned
