Zuma Restaurant is seeking a passionate Sommelier to curate our wine and sake program, guiding guests through selections that complement Japanese cuisine. You will contribute to a dynamic beverage program and elevate the guest dining experience with expertise and service excellence.

The role involves collaboration with the culinary team, conducting staff trainings, and maintaining rigorous wine service standards across the restaurant. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Certified Sommelier or higher certification preferred.
• Experience as a Sommelier in fine dining or upscale establishment.
• Strong knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and service techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests in selecting wines and sake with personalized recommendations.
• Conduct weekly inventory assessments and maintain stock accuracy.
• Collaborate with culinary team on wine pairings to enhance dining experience and sales.
• Oversee wine service standards and staff training to uphold quality.
• Lead wine education sessions for staff to improve product knowledge and guest engagement.
• Support restaurant operations on the floor to ensure smooth service.
