Job summary

The Huntress Security Operations Center is a global, remote-first team protecting partners around the world 24/7. You will lead a diverse group of security analysts, shaping processes, training, and playbooks to scale operations and meet SLAs.

As a Security Operations Manager, you’ll partner with Product, Support and Sales to drive incident response excellence, develop career growth for analysts, and operationalize new technologies within a fast-growing cybersecurity stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Security Analyst experience in a global 24x7 SOC.
• 3+ years of team lead or managerial experience in a global operations center or IR role.
• Active engagement in the information security community.
• Continual learning of threat actor tradecraft and detection techniques.
• Ability to distill complex concepts for stakeholders.
• Data-driven approach with experience in Data Science concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enforce internal processes to reduce burnout and increase productivity.
• Manage and enforce 24/7 shift coverage across global operations.
• Hold weekly 1:1 meetings with analysts to drive progress.
• Develop training programs in DF, IR, Malware Analysis, Threat Hunting, and Automation.
• Collaborate with Product to prioritize new capabilities for analysts.
• Maintain quality assurance for the designated region.
• Streamline workflows with Support for SOC requests.
• Coordinate with Tactical Response, Threat Hunting, and Detection Engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership for SOC analysts.
• Align team goals with Huntress’ mission and outcomes.
• Provide input to Marketing, Sales, Support, and Product.
• Develop, track, and report OKRs for SOC initiatives.
• Operationalize new technologies and services for market release.
• Participate in public speaking engagements.
