Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Communications Planner to support the SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations & Maintenance Task Order for USSOCOM. The role is based at Camp H.M. Smith, HI, with 24x7 operations to maintain NetOps and IT services.

The incumbent will analyze systems, write guidance, and lead technical discussions with government customers. Qualifications include DoD TS/SCI clearance, IAT II, and 4+ years in related IT fields.

Qualifications

• HS + 12 years of experience OR AS with 10 years of experience OR BS + 8 years of experience
• IAT Level II certification required
• At least 4 years of related experience in the candidate's field
• Working knowledge of network and information exchange technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, RESTful, SOAP, HTTP)
• Familiarity with system engineering processes and techniques
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level is required

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and defines systems, functions, processes, and user needs for a wide variety of projects
• Performs technical assessments to improve client systems and updates requirements
• Creates documentation such as policies, procedures, workflows and user guides
• Analyzes and performs functional allocations to identify tasks and inter-relationships
• Identifies resources required for task execution and completion
• Develops new systems or updates existing systems to meet client needs
• Serves as technical advisor to clients and recommends functional changes
• Generates technical briefings, reports and major documents for senior client personnel
• Consults with clients to determine optimum design for assigned projects
• Identifies emerging technologies that may improve current processes
• Writes and updates project documentation and training materials
• Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced analysts
• May serve as technical team or task lead
• Maintains knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas
• Participates in special projects as required and communicates solutions effectively
