Job summary

AkzoNobel in the United States is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our aerospace coatings manufacturing team in a fast-paced environment. You will coordinate domestic and international shipments and prepare accurate shipping and export documentation to meet customer and regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with Warehouse, Customer Service, Planning, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to ensure on-time, compliant shipments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to accurately prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve documentation or order discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal departments and external transportation partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process domestic and international shipments via ground, air, and ocean transportation.
• Prepare, review, and verify shipping documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Generate shipping documents (BOLs, packing lists, invoices, etc.).
• Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouse teams.
• Schedule material movements between manufacturing facilities and off-site warehouses.
• Ensure documentation is submitted within required timelines.
• Monitor shipment processing and resolve delays affecting deliveries.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
