Job summary

AkzoNobel is seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Manager in the United States to lead a ~30-person team and manage end-to-end warehouse and logistics operations across internal and external partners. You will drive safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement while ensuring accurate inventory and reliable material flow.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of leadership in a high-volume environment, with strong ERP/WMS and data skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience leading teams in a high-volume, operationally complex environment.
• Experience with warehouse management, inventory control, material flow, and outbound logistics; chemical environment is preferred.
• Experience managing third-party logistics providers or outsourced warehouse operations is preferred.
• Strong leadership, people development, performance management, and change management skills.
• Strong planning, prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communicator capable of working across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
• Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office; strong ability to use data to manage operational performance.
• Demonstrated commitment to HSE&S, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead 30 direct and indirect employees, fostering safety, accountability, ownership, and operational excellence.
• Oversee end-to-end warehouse and logistics operations from receiving to outbound shipping.
• Coordinate with 3PL and ensure performance within the hybrid operating model.
• Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy and material flow across network.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement using data-driven insights to raise safety, service, quality, cost, and productivity.
• Establish KPIs and effective communication across shifts, functions, and external partners.
