Corning seeks a Lead Program Manager for Optical Communications in Hickory, NC to drive complex technology programs from inception to delivery. You will coordinate a global, multi-disciplinary team across engineering, manufacturing, and product management, ensuring schedule, budget, and performance targets are met.

The role requires 10+ years in product/engineering/manufacturing with PM capability and strong customer engagement, leadership, and communication skills in a matrixed environment.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience leading cross-functional, culturally diverse teams.
• Total 10+ years in development of manufactured products, engineering, or manufacturing with PM capability.
• 5+ years in a managerial role.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills across matrixed organizations.
• Ability to translate customer needs into actionable program requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Manage schedule, technical performance, and budget of major programs in Optical Communications.
• Build and maintain a global program structure with core and multiple project teams across regions.
• Create objectives and develop comprehensive project plans; monitor master plans and resource allocations.
• Coordinate external engineering, development, and manufacturing resources as needed.
• Lead all phases of technology projects from inception to completion using a scalable process.
• Interact with external customers to understand challenges and translate to requirements.
• Support Product Management in business-case development for programs.
• Communicate status to executive sponsors and steering teams; prepare presentations.
• Deliver regular program updates and reports.
