Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead technical teams and collaborate with customers to execute optical technology programs. You will drive program plans, manage scope, and ensure alignment with business objectives while navigating cross-functional constraints.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering/physical sciences, 10+ years in project management, and willingness to travel up to 50% (domestic/intl). Benefits and long-term incentives are provided.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physical sciences; master’s preferred.
10+ years of project management/leadership experience leading internal or external teams.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams (commercial, technical, operations) in execution of programs.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to guide team discussions across org levels.
Proven ability to build relationships with customers and manage expectations.

Responsibilities

Defines and executes an overall program plan, including resources and budgets.
Monitors changes in customer requirements and adjusts the program strategy accordingly.
Sets program messages and communicates progress to leadership and customers.
Develops and leads a compelling business case with P&L implications.
Protects IP and ensures manufacturing requirements are met.
