Job summary

Madrigal is seeking a Senior Director, Participant Recruitment and Retention, to lead global recruitment across its clinical development portfolio. You will drive patient engagement, leverage digital recruitment, and manage vendor partnerships to accelerate enrollment and improve retention.

This role reports into the R&D leadership and shapes enterprise-wide recruitment capabilities. The ideal candidate has 15+ years in pharma/biotech recruitment with experience across Phase I–IV trials, strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field required.
• Advanced degree (MS, MPH, MBA, PharmD, or PhD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Madrigal's enterprise recruitment and retention strategy across all clinical development programs.
• Lead protocol-specific recruitment and retention strategies for Phase I-IV clinical studies.
• Design participant-centric initiatives that improve study awareness, enrollment, engagement, and long-term retention.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure recruitment materials comply with regulations and ethical standards.
• Oversee recruitment vendors, digital marketing partners, and technology providers.
• Create enrollment forecasting models and recruitment analytics; develop dashboards for portfolio-wide recruitment performance.
• Manage recruitment budgets and vendor investments to ensure cost-effective delivery and quality.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing recruitment organization within R&D.
