Madrigal Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Director, Clinical Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership for global Phase I–IV trials. You will drive delivery, manage budgets, and partner with Clinical Development and cross-functional teams to support development objectives.

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Madrigal’s medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-β agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c).

The Senior Director, Clinical Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for the planning, execution, and oversight of global Phase I-IV clinical trials and clinical development programs. This role is accountable for the successful delivery of one or more complex clinical programs from study start-up through closeout, ensuring execution against timelines, quality, budget, and corporate objectives while maintaining compliance with global regulatory requirements.
The Senior Director, Clinical Operations will drive operational strategy across a portfolio of studies while partnering closely with Clinical Development and cross-functional leadership to support the Company’s development objectives. This individual provides organizational leadership, line management, and mentorship to Clinical Operations staff, while building scalable processes and operational excellence within a rapidly growing biotechnology environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced clinical operations leader who thrives in a fast-paced organization and has demonstrated success leading global clinical development programs, developing high-performing teams, and driving execution across complex cross-functional initiatives.

Base salary is determined by several factors including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs, and market demands. As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position, applicable to all candidates, is $262,059 - $306,732 per year. We comply with all applicable minimum wage laws.
