Job summary

QVC is seeking a Global Security Operations Center Operator to support activities at our West Chester, PA headquarters. The role focuses on protecting team members and infrastructure, with emphasis on emergency response and incident reporting.

This onsite position operates on a 7pm–7am schedule with rotating days off, reporting to the GSOC Supervisor and coordinating with multiple security, IT, and compliance teams to manage incidents and protect global operations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (2 yrs.) in Criminal Justice, Business Administration or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience in private security, law enforcement, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate alarm activity across global locations and dispatch appropriate security response teams.
• Use Incident Commander Program to manage incidents and events; operate video walls, mass notification tools and conferencing systems.
• Develop metrics and reports using MS Office and security systems including access control and visitor management.
• Coordinate with IT/Data Center, Cyber Security, Legal, Compliance, EH&S, and other teams during incidents and investigations.
• Serve as primary resource during crisis events and incident escalation; assess information to determine required response groups.

Your Opportunity, Your Team

• The Global Security Operations Center Operator supports QVC and HSN in the protection of our team members and corporate infrastructure. As the GSOC Operator, you will provide exceptional customer service, professional response to emergency situations, and display the values set forth by our CREWS Global Security & Business Continuity function. You will assist the Global Security Investigations Team members in recognizing, identifying, investigating, and reporting on criminal elements and activities that can affect QVCG and its team members. You will work at the West Chester, PA headquarters and report to the GSOC Supervisor.

Where You’ll Work

• This role is onsite and will require you to work from our West Chester, PA office daily. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
  • This schedule is onsite 7pm- 7am with rotating days off (2 days on 2 days off, 2 days on 3 days off, 3 days on 2 days off).

What You’ll Do

• You will monitor and investigate alarm activity across global locations to dispatch appropriate security response teams and partners. Write, escape and distribute incident reports. Assess open-source information that can be used to develop intelligence and risk reports.
• Use and understand the Incident Commander Program to manage incidents and events. Use command center resources (video wall, mass notification tools, set up conference bridges, Everbridge, badge/alarm activity screens, CCTV etc.) to include Intrusion Detection and fire protection systems.
• Help with metric report development using multiple applications, including Microsoft Office, the access control system and visitor management system. Monitor alarm volume activity (alarm abatement) to identify hardware issues and resolutions.
• Partner with IT/Data Center, Cyber Security, Data Privacy, Ethics and Compliance, Environmental Health & Safety, Global Security Investigations, Team Member Relations, Legal, Global Crisis Management, Global Business Continuity, Broadcast & Engineering, Talent Service Center teams.
• Primary resource during crisis events and incident escalation. Assess emerging and developing information to adequately determine what group or teams are required to manage business disruptions. Monitor global travel security events globally that have the potential to impact QVCG global business travelers and their safety.

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum Education: Associate degree (2 yrs.) in Criminal Justice, Business Administration or other relevant field preferred; or, equivalent experience.
• Minimum Experience: 2 years of experience in private sector, law enforcement or combination of the two.
