Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analyst to monitor security for employees, facilities, and property worldwide. You will detect, analyze, and respond to threats, including weather, instability, crime, and other risks.

The role emphasizes non-cyber security duties and requires a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with relevant experience. The schedule includes 11pm-7am, 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm rotations with weekend off every other period; 24/7 coverage is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Political Science, International Relations, or related) or Associate’s with 2+ years in a related field
• Must maintain confidentiality and integrity
• Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and outside hours when needed
• Team player with professional interpersonal style
• Strong customer service skills with ability to adapt to various customers
• Clear and effective writing under time-sensitive conditions
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to clarify information calmly
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, work independently, and meet objectives in a fast-paced environment
• Sound operational judgment with curiosity to learn company security needs
• Comfortable in a high-tech environment with ongoing learning of new tools
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with Corning employees worldwide as primary first-contact for security questions and concerns
• Globally monitor company assets and dispatch emergency/security services
• Gather security and threat information from open-source intelligence and in-house tools
• Conduct risk analysis and provide proactive guidance to travelers and stakeholders
• Write custom reports for various business units to enable leadership decision-making
• Provide in-depth risk analysis for high-risk travel assessments and recommendations
• Support leadership and protective services with alarm monitoring and risk analysis
• Compile situational and after-action reports for security and management
• Provide ad-hoc support for security operations, crisis response, investigations, and business continuity
