Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Compliance Specialist Principal Lead to drive and execute enterprise-wide compliance initiatives across cloud environments.

You will design scalable controls, partner with cross-functional teams, and lead end-to-end audit activities to ensure regulatory readiness. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of security compliance experience across frameworks (DoD, NIST, FedRAMP) and strong communication with executives and government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of security compliance experience across multiple frameworks.
• Experience interfacing with DoD, government stakeholders, and exec leadership.
• Credentials such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement unified control frameworks for DoD, federal, and international standards.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and owners to design auditable controls.
• Serve as primary technical interface for 3PAOs, C3PAOs, and audit bodies.
• Manage end-to-end assessment lifecycles, evidence gathering, and remediations.
• Translate audit findings into actionable risk models and strategic briefings.
• Drive continuous monitoring and recurring audit workflows for readiness.
