Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Manager, Security Audit to lead the Internal Audit team’s global coverage of information security, cybersecurity, and infrastructure/app security. You will own the security audit portfolio, manage a small team, and report to the Global Head of Internal Audit.

You will synthesize complex findings for the Board and drive proactive risk coverage across IAM, threat detection, and cloud security while leveraging AI tooling to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in internal audit or security engineering/operations with leadership of cybersecurity audits or programs.
• Deep hands-on expertise in at least 2–3 areas from IAM, threat detection, incident response, security architecture, cryptography, cloud security, or application security.
• Relevant security certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or CCSK (CISA a plus).

Responsibilities

• Own and lead Coinbase's global security audit portfolio across multiple domains.
• Partner with Security Engineering, Detection & Response, and AppSec teams to provide independent audit perspective.
• Manage and develop a team of security auditors while leading high-complexity engagements.
• Synthesize technical findings into clear risk-prioritized reports for executives and the Board.
• Drive proactive identification of emerging threats, including crypto and AI security risks.
• Champion security data analytics and AI tooling to modernize the audit function.
