Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an Internal Audit IT Associate Manager to lead IT and security audits across our global cloud infrastructure, security operations, and crypto-native products.

You will own audits end-to-end, mentor junior staff, and translate complex findings into actionable insights for senior leadership, partnering with Engineering, Security, and IT to strengthen control environments while maintaining independence.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in IT internal audit or related tech/security audits.
• Hands-on audit experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) including IAM and security configurations.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST CSF, COBIT, SOC 2, ITIL; relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end IT and security audits across cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), IAM, vendor risk and crypto-related products.
• Lead audit planning, fieldwork, reporting, and presentations for senior leadership and Audit Committee.
• Mentor junior team members, review workpapers, and coach on technical growth.
• Drive monitoring of remediated findings, track responses, and flag delays or risk themes.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, and IT leadership to identify control improvements while preserving independence.
• Maintain current understanding of IT, security, and financial services regulatory requirements.
