Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Manager, Security Audit to lead the Internal Audit team’s global coverage of information security, cybersecurity, and infrastructure/application security. You will own the security audit portfolio, guiding audits across IAM, threat detection, incident response, cloud security, and crypto-native controls, while managing a small team.

You will synthesize technical findings into senior-level reports, engage with executive leadership, and drive proactive threat coverage,

Qualifications

• 12+ years in internal audit or security engineering/operations with leadership of cybersecurity-focused audits or programs.
• Expertise in at least 2-3 areas among IAM, threat detection/SOC, incident response, security architecture, cryptography, cloud security or application security.
• Certification required: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or CCSK (CISA a plus).
• Experience navigating multi-jurisdictional cybersecurity regulatory regimes and translating requirements into audit coverage.
• Proven ability to communicate complex security concepts to executives and the Board.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead Coinbase's global security audit portfolio across IAM, threat detection, incident response, architecture, cryptography, cloud, and crypto-native controls.
• Partner with Security Engineering, Detection & Response, and AppSec teams to provide independent audit perspective with executive impact.
• Manage and develop a team of security auditors while leading high-risk audits across jurisdictions.
• Synthesize complex findings into risk-prioritized reports for executives, Audit Committee, and Board.
• Drive proactive threat identification including crypto/blockchain vectors and AI/ML security risks.
• Champion security data analytics and AI tooling to modernize the security audit function.
