Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Manager, Security Audit to lead the Internal Audit team's global coverage of information security, cybersecurity, and infrastructure/application security. Reporting to the Global Head of Internal Audit, you'll own the security audit portfolio and manage a small team while conducting high-complexity audits.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in internal audit or security engineering with leadership of cybersecurity audits.
• Hands-on expertise in at least 2–3 areas among IAM, threat detection, incident response, security architecture, cryptography, cloud/security, or app security.
• Relevant security certifications required: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or CCSK (CISA a plus).
• Experience navigating multi-jurisdictional cybersecurity regulatory regimes and translating requirements into audit coverage.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to executives and the Board.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead Coinbase's global security audit portfolio across IAM, threat detection, incident response, and more.
• Partner with Security Engineering, Detection & Response, and AppSec as the cybersecurity SME, maintaining objectivity.
• Manage a team of auditors while leading high-complexity engagements across jurisdictions.
• Synthesize findings into risk-prioritized reports for executives, the Audit Committee, and the Board.
• Drive proactive threat identification, including crypto-native risks, and adapt audit coverage accordingly.
• Champion security data analytics and AI tooling to modernize the audit function.
