Panasonic Corporation of North America is seeking a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Sr. Planner in Sparks, Nevada. You will lead procurement and planning initiatives, consolidating procurement functions across Panasonic factories to maximize productivity and ensure timely deliveries and payments.

The role requires 5–10 years global procurement experience, bilingual English/Japanese, and ERP/MS Office proficiency. Travel may be required as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Prefer 5-10 years Global procurement experience in the Trading Company
• Must be able to communicate in English and Japanese (speaking, reading & writing)
• Must be proficient in MS Office
• Experience with ERP systems preferred
• Procurement/Planning experience
• Position is located in Sparks, Nevada

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve and expand the global procurement scheme through purchase and supply of raw materials, components and devices
• Communicate with business associates (customers, suppliers, logistics service providers) smoothly with problem solving mindset
• Analyze customer needs and provide value-added service to consolidate procurement functions of Panasonic factories to maximize productivity
• Control inventory and delivery, check inventory and balance purchase order status, negotiate with supplier and customers and cooperate with warehouse/logistics
• Summarize monthly P&L and balance sheet figures for accounts
• Maintain system master data (customer, vendor & product)
• Ensure timely delivery of accounts receivable from customers
• Ensure timely collection of invoices from customers
• Ensure timely payment of invoices to suppliers, freight & warehouse companies
