Panasonic Corporation of North America is seeking an SCM Sr. Planner in Sparks, Nevada. You will lead global procurement initiatives, analyze needs, and coordinate with customers, suppliers, and logistics partners to optimize procurement, inventory, and delivery.

Strong English/Japanese communication and ERP proficiency are essential. The role requires 5–10 years of procurement experience, BA/BS in International Business, and a willingness to travel as needed.

• English and Japanese communication (speaking, reading, writing) required.
• Proficient in Word & Excel; MS Office skills.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred.

• Control inventory and delivery; balance PO status, negotiate with suppliers and customers; cooperate with warehouse and logistics partners.
• Summarize monthly P&L and balance sheet figures for accounts; maintain system master data (customer, vendor, product); ensure timely receivables collections and timely payments to suppliers.

Solution Development

• Identify opportunities to improve, develop and expand the global procurement scheme through purchase and supply of raw materials, components and devices.

Procurement Operation Management

• Analyze customer needs and provide value added service to consolidate procurement functions of Panasonic factories to maximize productivity.
• Control inventory and delivery, checking inventory and balance purchase order status, negotiating with supplier and customers and cooperating with business associates (warehouse, logistics companies)
• Summarize monthly P & L and balance sheet figures for accounts
• Maintain the system master data (customer, vendor & product)
• Ensure timely delivery of account receivables from customers
• Ensure timely collection of invoices from customers
• Ensure timely payment of invoices to suppliers, freight & warehouse companies

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

Education & Experience & Competencies

• Prefer 5-10 years Global procurement experience in the Trading Company; BA\\BS in International Business
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English and Japanese (speaking, reading & writing). required
• Must be proficient in MS Office, particularly with Word & Excel
• Experience with ERP systems preferred

The wage range of$75,000 - $80,000 is just one component of Panasonic's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
