Job summary

Cherokee Nation System Solutions (CNSS) in Arlington, VA seeks a Science Director Program Specialist to provide robust administrative and operational support for the International Science Program (ISP).

Based in Arlington, the role backs the International Science Program Manager and Science Director Program Manager by enabling planning and execution of internationally focused S&T engagements, program operations, and communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant work experience or an Associate’s degree with 10+ years of U.S. Government RDT&E program support experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing customer requirements across diverse tasks, preparing briefings and maintaining administrative history, and supporting program administration, execution, and evaluation.
• Professional maturity to interact daily with senior leaders (O-6/GS-15/Director level) across Joint, Navy, Marine Corps, NR&DE, UARCs, and international S&T partners.
• Proven experience planning, scheduling, and managing conferences and multi-day meetings.

Responsibilities

• Event Planning & Coordination: Support ISP activities and events, schedule activities, identify conflicts, manage attendance, facilitate security/building access, coordinate logistics, prepare agendas, record minutes, and track follow-on actions.
• Reporting & Communications: Collect, consolidate, and distribute ISP reports (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly), ONR Global Magazine inputs, newsletters, and related communications; support communications between ONR Global Corporate Communications and ONR Headquarters Corporate Strategic Communications.
• Business Operations Support: Coordinate with ONR Global Operations teams to meet ISP needs; support the Science Director hiring cycle, schedule panels, coordinate interviews, and maintain records; resolve complex administrative issues with international and domestic stakeholders.
• Knowledge Management: Maintain ISP knowledge repositories including ONR’s public website, ONR Global Knowledge Management systems, and GTAR repositories to ensure accuracy and currency.
