Citigroup Inc. in New York is seeking a Managing Director to serve as Global Head of Sanctions Operations.

You will lead sanctions operations across geographies and products, partnering with Technology, Risk, Legal and Compliance to ensure a best-in-class control environment. The role drives automation, advanced analytics and digital capabilities to improve effectiveness, risk management and client outcomes, while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of leadership experience in sanctions, financial crimes, AML or related functions.
• Experience leading large-scale global operations within highly regulated financial institutions.
• Deep knowledge of global sanctions regulations (OFAC, UN, EU, UK).
• Strong regulatory engagement and governance experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead global sanctions operations, ensuring compliance and strong client outcomes.
• Define and execute strategic vision for sanctions operations across geographies and products.
• Drive transformation via automation, AI and analytics to improve efficiency and risk management.
• Oversee sanctions screening, investigations, and product/transaction risk controls.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Audit and business leadership to meet regulatory commitments.
