Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations leadership, program management, project delivery, or related disciplines within financial services or similarly regulated environments.
  • Proven experience leading large, geographically distributed teams, including offshore operations.
  • Demonstrated success building and managing metrics-driven operating models with a focus on performance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong experience leading operational transformation initiatives involving process redesign, standardization, automation, and control enhancement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced, highly controlled environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including process mapping, root-cause analysis, and remediation planning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing team responsible for sanctions-related blocking and rejection activities, fostering a strong risk and control culture across multiple locations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting of blocked and rejected transactions in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Oversee documentation standards, audit trails, and governance processes supporting sanctions-related actions and decisions.
  • Drive operational excellence through effective workflow management, capacity planning, escalation management, and performance monitoring.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs) to measure operational effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead strategic programs and initiatives from planning through execution, including governance, stakeholder management, milestone tracking, and delivery oversight.
  • Partner with Compliance, Operational Risk, Audit, and Technology teams to identify control gaps, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable remediation plans.
  • Develop and execute operating model enhancements that improve efficiency, reduce rework, strengthen controls, and support scalability.
  • Promote innovation through process redesign, standardization, automation, and technology-enabled solutions.
  • Support regulatory examinations, audits, testing activities, and inquiries while ensuring accurate and timely responses.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level reporting, presentations, and communications that inform decision-making and demonstrate operational performance.
