Qualifications

• This is a management position with leadership responsibilities.
• Preferred degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience leading a safety program or managerial role within operations.

Responsibilities

• Develops accident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs for incorporation into operational policies.
• Monitors workers' compensation program to contain costs and ensure compliance with laws; liaises with medical and legal providers.
• Establishes and maintains a modified work program for employees with restrictions.
• Schedules and oversees the company's safety committee.
• Ensures OSHA 29 CFR 1910 compliance and regulatory reporting; provides interpretations as needed.
• Manages and participates in the Emergency Response Team.
• Develops organization-wide safety standards, policies, and workflows.
