Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in the USA seeks a Safety Manager to lead health and safety programs, reduce injuries, and ensure regulatory compliance across operations at Lockbourne. You will plan, implement, and coordinate Workers’ Compensation and OSHA-related initiatives.

The role requires strong leadership, 2–4 years in safety management, and a degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.

Qualifications

This is a management position; leadership experience is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills are required.
Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Develops accident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs for incorporation into operational policies of the organization.
Monitors workers’ compensation program to ensure cost containment and legal compliance; liaises with legal counsel, physicians, hospitals and clinics.
Establishes and maintains a modified work program for employees with restrictions.
Schedule and oversee the company’s safety committee.
Ensure compliance with OSHA’s 29 CFR 1910 regulations and local/state regulatory requirements.
Manage and be a member of the Emergency Response Team.
Develops organization-wide safety standards and best practices; creates policies and workflows.
Plan, organize, direct and control activities to deliver Health & Safety objectives.
