Zusammenfassung

3M Global Robotic Systems is seeking a Global Application Engineer to lead growth through new product commercialization and customer collaboration. You will coordinate field trials and develop high-impact applications, working at the Maplewood, MN site to support automotive manufacturing customers.

Required is a bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering, three years of robotics experience, and one year of troubleshooting.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science / Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) years of combined robotics experience with system design and integration, programming and/or application engineering.
• One (1) year of experience troubleshooting, testing, evaluating, optimizing conditions for industrial applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related robotics curriculum.
• Three (3) years of robotics experience with equipment design, programming and/or application engineering.
• Two (2) years of experience working with Automotive production or manufacturing customers.
• Experience with DC electrical, I/O, Servo drive and motors logic.
• Robotic programming, software and driver logic knowledge.
• Willingness to work at customer sites with deadlines.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Hands-on construction and fabrication experience.

Aufgaben

• Engineering and optimizing new robotic abrasive solutions for major automotive manufacturers, supporting the build, installation, start up and ongoing support at the customer site
• Troubleshooting challenges with the performance of robotic abrasive processes at customer sites
• Leveraging our robotic laboratories to develop and prove viability of solutions for automating our customers’ processes
• Providing insight on customer needs as a member of 3M product development teams
• Developing new methods to evaluate abrasive solution performance
