Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Director of Revenue Accounting to establish and maintain revenue policies across the global platform. You will ensure ASC606 compliance and CECL readiness while partnering with billing, accounting, and business leaders.

The role focuses on bridging local GAAP/IFRS to US GAAP for revenue recognition, driving process improvements, and supporting audits and monthly closes. Strong leadership and CPA certification are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in revenue accounting or financial reporting at a public company or CPA firm.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, incl. ASC606 and CECL considerations.
• Experience with SAP FICO and professional services modules a plus.
• CPA or equivalent certification is required or strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Effective leadership across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain revenue accounting policies in line with ASC606 and CECL.
• Bridge local GAAP/IFRS to US GAAP for revenue recognition across jurisdictions.
• Partner with billing and accounting systems to enable accurate revenue accounting.
• Provide revenue accounting guidance to internal leaders.
• Prepare month-end schedules, management reporting, and analyses.
• Drive improvements in collections and cash flow through cross-functional collaboration.
• Develop scalable controls, processes, and systems for evolving revenue models.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for revenue-related entries.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and GL integrity across revenue accounts.
• Prepare technical memos and support audits with documentation.
