Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Director of Revenue Accounting to establish and maintain global revenue accounting policies, ensuring ASC606 and CECL compliance across the firm. This role leads cross-border initiatives and supports acquisitions and finance transformations within Grant Thornton’s multinational platform.

The successful candidate will drive improvements in financial reporting, partner with billing and accounting systems, and guide internal stakeholders through complex revenue matters,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in revenue accounting or financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS in revenue recognition.
• Experience with professional services accounting is a plus.
• CPA or equivalent certification required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain revenue accounting policies compliant with ASC606 and CECL.
• Bridge local GAAP/IFRS to US GAAP for revenue recognition.
• Provide revenue guidance to internal leaders and support close processes.
• Collaborate with billing, AR, and revenue systems to improve processes.
• Prepare schedules, analytics, and journal entries for month-end close.
• Partner with external auditors during audits and reviews.
• Identify opportunities for automation and system improvements.
