Job summary

Everest is seeking a Senior Reserving Actuary to lead the Global Reserving function across Insurance and Reinsurance portfolios, reporting to executive leadership. The role focuses on reserve adequacy, governance, and transparent communication of reserve indications and trends.

Qualifications

• FCAS designation required.
• 15+ years of P&C actuarial experience.
• Extensive reserving leadership experience across commercial insurance and/or reinsurance.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated experience presenting reserve recommendations to executive management.
• Proven people leadership and talent development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly and annual reserve reviews across multiple business segments.
• Provide independent assessment of reserve adequacy and reserve risk.
• Oversee the development and communication of reserve indications and recommendations.
• Ensure consistency of reserving methodologies of Insurance and Reinsurance portfolios.
• Partner with Finance regarding reserve booking decisions and financial reporting.
• Support regulatory reporting, statutory filings, and reserve-related disclosures.
• Provide reserve insights to executive leadership, including trends, volatility, and emerging risks.
• Mentor and develop actuaries in the Reserving organization.
• Foster collaboration with Pricing, Claims, Finance, and Underwriting teams.
