Job summary

Everest is seeking a Director-level professional to lead global reserving analyses for major Insurance and Reinsurance portfolios from our Warren, NJ location. You will drive reserve indications, communicate findings to business partners, and support strategic decision-making across underwriting, claims, finance, and actuarial leadership.

The role requires 5–10 years of P&C actuarial experience with significant reserving expertise, ACAS certification, and strong analytics with SQL/Python.

Qualifications

• ACAS required; FCAS preferred.
• 5–10 years of P&C actuarial experience with significant reserving experience.
• Strong knowledge of reserving methodologies and actuarial standards.
• Experience communicating actuarial analyses to senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, or related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly reserve reviews and reserve indication analyses for assigned portfolios.
• Evaluate reserve adequacy through historical development patterns, trends, and operational changes.
• Present reserve recommendations to reserving leadership.
• Provide insights regarding adverse development, reserve volatility, and exposures.
• Support quarterly financial close processes and external reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with Claims, Underwriting, Pricing, and Finance to assess portfolio performance.
• Contribute to capital modeling, planning assumptions, and ERM initiatives.
• Support interactions with auditors and regulators.
• Develop and enhance reserving methodologies, tools, and governance standards.
• Mentor junior actuarial staff and provide technical guidance.
