Job summary

3M in Maplewood, MN is hiring a Mgr Procurement for Global Release Liners. You will own procurement strategy across divisions, drive cost reductions, and foster resilient supplier networks to support manufacturing, R&D, and finance teams.

The role requires a BS or higher in a related field plus 10 years in manufacturing/supply chain and 7 years negotiating. Proficiency with SAP, ERP, Excel, Power BI and AI-enabled tools is expected, with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or Business discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
Ten (10) years of combined experience in manufacturing & supply chain, sourcing, procurement or engineering in a private, public, government, or military environment.
Seven (7) years of combined experience supporting or leading supplier negotiations, contract negotiations, supplier relationship management, and cost savings initiatives in a private, public, government, or military environment

Responsibilities

Provide Category Ownership across 3M Businesses & Divisions for Release Liners procurement.
Lead and implement global procurement strategies to ensure continuity, resilience and value creation.
Drive year over year cost reduction, working capital improvement, supplier consolidation and supply resilience.
Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships and drive access to leading technologies.
Develop cross-functional partnerships to prioritize procurement initiatives across Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing and Finance.
Negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing, high quality and service.
Analyze data, market dynamics, supplier performance and cost drivers to improve service, cost and value.
