Job summary

3M is seeking a Manager Procurement for Global Release Liners to lead category strategies across its businesses. Based at 3M Center in Maplewood, MN, this role focuses on building resilient supply chains, advancing digital procurement tools, and delivering value through strategic supplier partnerships.

You will own category initiatives, negotiate complex contracts, and drive cost reductions while collaborating with manufacturing, R&D, finance and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, completed before start.
• 10+ years in manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, procurement or engineering.
• 7+ years in supplier negotiations, contract management and cost savings.

Responsibilities

• Provide category ownership across 3M businesses and divisions.
• Lead global procurement strategies to ensure continuity and value.
• Drive year-over-year cost reduction and supplier consolidation.
• Establish strategic supplier relationships with leading technologies.
• Negotiate complex vendor contracts and manage performance.
• Analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for savings.
• Advance procurement digitalization using SAP, automation and AI tools.
• Ensure sustainability and regulatory compliance in category strategies.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain.
