Job summary

Stepan Company in Northbrook, IL seeks a Regulatory Scientist to join the Global Regulatory team. You will support SDS, labels, and dangerous goods classifications, reporting to the Hazard Communication Regulatory Specialist.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and professionalism. Key responsibilities include developing SDS and labels for global markets, collaborating with the Corporate Toxicologist on GHS classifications, and tracking changes to hazard communication

Qualifications

• Understanding of hazard communication regulations and product safety standards.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams across regulatory and toxicology.
• Experience with hazardous materials labeling and SDS development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise global SDS and product labels for compliance worldwide.
• Collaborate with Toxicology to complete GHS classifications for products.
• Monitor global hazard communication regulations and communicate changes.
• Maintain DOT, IATA, IMDG and other dangerous goods certifications.
• Support dangerous goods classification for commercial and experimental products.
