Job summary

Pace® Analytical Services is hiring a SDS author to join the Scientific Insourcing Solutions division in Illinois. You’ll transform data to support safe transport of materials domestically and internationally, and you’ll author Safety Data Sheets in line with global regulations.

The role requires a chemistry/biology background, 3+ years in chemical regulatory work and SDS authoring with 3E Generate, plus strong attention to detail and data quality. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field such as chemistry, biology or related discipline.
• 3+ years of chemical regulatory experience, required
• 3+ years of SDS authoring experience, required
• SDS Authoring experience using 3E Generate
• Experience authoring SDSs for U.S., EU, and GB requirements (with labels)
• Some substance-level data cleansing and data quality work
• Strong understanding of global SDS/regulatory requirements and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Authors Safety Data Sheets in compliance with domestic and global regulations.
• Completes and processes various types of standard regulatory forms, documents, databases, and related materials and information.
• Provides data management and analysis of raw materials.
• Completes general hazard communication and reviews regulatory information for accuracy.
• Works in computer applications and systems related to the work: Excel, Teams, 3E Generate
• Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
• Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace Analytical by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
