Stepan Company in Northbrook, IL is seeking a Regulatory Scientist to join our Global Regulatory team. You will help create and maintain Safety Data Sheets and product labels, ensure compliance with country-specific regulations, and collaborate with the Corporate Toxicologist on GHS classifications.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, cross-functional communication, and supporting new product development, changes, and dangerous goods procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in hazard communication regulations and standards.
• Experience using SAP EHS for SDS/labels is beneficial.
• Dangerous Goods certifications are beneficial but not required.
• Awareness of toxicological endpoints for product safety classifications.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise global SDS and product labels compliant with manufacture and sale country.
• Collaborate with Corporate Toxicologist for GHS classifications.
• Monitor global hazard communication regulations and inform stakeholders.
• Maintain DOT, IATA, IMDG and other dangerous goods certifications.
• Support dangerous goods classification for commercial and experimental products.
