Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the Brakes & Couplers Project Management group in the United States. You will drive end-to-end project execution from initiation through completion, maintain schedule adherence, and control budgets in collaboration with finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Railway), or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience within the railway or transit industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of brake and coupler systems; prior experience as a Project Engineer preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-site, and multicultural projects.
• Fluency in English required; Korean language skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Project Core Team activities to ensure successful project execution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring alignment and satisfaction.
• Manage all aspects of project execution including scheduling, risk and opportunity management, and change management.
• Oversee contract compliance and manage claims as needed.
• Monitor and drive project financial performance in partnership with financial controllers.
• Provide regular project reporting to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
• Support bid phase activities by developing project execution plans.
• Oversee field implementation and commissioning activities in coordination with field services teams.
• Monitor fleet performance during warranty and manage retrofit activities if required.
• Ensure adherence to project management best practices, tools, and reporting standards (e.g., MOMs, OILs, PPRs).
• Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned (REX) into future projects.
• Support development and training of project team members.
