Job summary

Foxconn Technology Group in Cupertino, CA seeks a Product & Process Development Engineer to lead the transition of concepts to high-volume production. You will collaborate with process, tooling, quality, and project teams, and perform reliability testing, DOEs, and DFMs while communicating concepts clearly to engineers and factory staff.

The role requires CAD/GD&T proficiency, NX exposure, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment with 35–45% travel to China.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field; MS is a plus.
• 1–3 years of related working experience preferred.
• Verbal communications skills in English and Mandarin.
• Knowledge of product, tooling, or fixture design.
• Fluency with CAD and GD&T; NX experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of DOEs, DFMs, and FMEAs.
• Exposure to plastic injection tools, die-casting tools, and sheet metal tools preferred.
• Must be detail oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to travel overseas to China 35-45% of the year.

Responsibilities

• Bring products from conceptual designs into high volume/low mix production.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams including process, tooling, quality control, and project management.
• Participate in reliability testing, conduct DOEs, and recommend DFMs.
• Communicate design and manufacturing concepts clearly to engineers and factory staff.
