Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking a Project Manager to lead new product and product enhancement initiatives for automatic door systems. You will coordinate across R&D, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, marketing, product management, and sales to ensure on-time, on-budget launches from concept through commercialization.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of PM experience in hardware or building products, with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in product development, engineering, manufacturing, or NPI environments.
• Experience delivering cross-functional projects in a matrix organization.
• Proven ability to create and manage project schedules and status reporting.
• Strong organizational, ownership, and accountability skills with stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and modern project-tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end execution of new product and product enhancement initiatives for automatic doors.
• Serve as central coordinator for product launch execution; track milestones and drive accountability.
• Work with product management to define project requirements and scope; ensure delivery meets requirements.
• Build and maintain project plans, timelines, resource estimates, and milestones through launch.
• Drive stage-gate process adherence from design readiness to commercial launch.
• Lead cross-functional project meetings; assign actions and ensure completion.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and issues; escalate when needed.
• Coordinate with R&D, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, marketing, and sales; resolve conflicts.
• Coordinate compliance, certification, and regulatory activities for milestone approvals.
• Provide regular updates and facilitate key decisions with stakeholders and leadership.
• Translate technical details for executive-level communication.
• Drive continuous improvement of PM processes, tools, and reporting.
