Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support procurement and sourcing across a global supplier base for a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will ensure timely acquisition of quality materials, maintain strong supplier relationships, and drive cost efficiencies to support supply continuity.

The role involves negotiating terms, managing POs in ERP, monitoring supplier performance, and assisting with inventory forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3+ years in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain within manufacturing.
• Experience negotiating supplier agreements and terms.
• Experience with ERP purchasing modules.
• Familiarity with sourcing materials in a production environment.
• Knowledge of supplier quality standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Procure direct materials, components, and services from domestic and international suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules for cost savings.
• Create and track purchase orders within ERP system with accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor supplier performance and material availability to ensure supply continuity.
• Maintain procurement data, supplier records, and delivery forecasts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies in procurement, receiving, and accounts payable.
