Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to support procurement and sourcing across a global supplier base. You will drive timely acquisition of quality materials, manage POs in ERP, and maintain supplier performance data to sustain supply continuity.

The role emphasizes strategic sourcing, cost reductions, and cross-functional collaboration in a manufacturing environment, with occasional travel to supplier sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of procurement or sourcing experience in manufacturing.
• Experience negotiating supplier agreements and terms.
• Familiarity with ERP purchasing modules.
• Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain workflows.
• Experience with global sourcing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Procure direct materials, components, and services from domestic and international suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.
• Create, manage, and track purchase orders within an ERP system.
• Monitor supplier performance and material availability to ensure continuity of supply.
• Maintain procurement data and supplier records in internal systems.
• Resolve procurement discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
• Travel occasionally to supplier sites or industry events, as required.
