Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Buyer to join a global manufacturing organization in the Virginia area. You will convert MRP requirements into purchase orders, source new suppliers, and manage RFQs, quotes and negotiations to improve cost, quality, and lead times.

You will also monitor supplier performance, manage contracts and LTAs, and collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Finance, and Logistics to ensure on-time delivery and accurate ERP/MRP data. A 3–5 year purchasing background is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in purchasing/procurement within manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of incoterms, cost breakdowns, supplier management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Convert MRP requirements into purchase orders and manage PO lifecycle.
• Source new suppliers to improve cost, quality, and lead times.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Review supplier contracts and LTAs; manage supplier performance.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, and Finance to align on schedules.
