Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Buyer to join our team. You will lead strategic sourcing and procurement of electronic components and manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.

Collaboration with engineering and production is essential to align procurement with product needs. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in electrical manufacturing purchasing, experience with MRP systems, and proven negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of buying experience in electrical manufacturing.
• Experience purchasing electronic components.
• Experience with MRP systems.
• Strong knowledge of large, complex BOMs.
• Aerospace/Defense industry experience is a plus.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic sourcing and procurement of electronic components.
• Maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Create, review, and manage Purchase Orders.
• Use MRP systems to forecast procurement needs and manage inventory levels.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to support procurement needs.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and internal demand.
• Develop strong supplier relationships and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
