Job summary

Amgen seeks a Global Process Owner for Warehousing, Distribution and Supply Chain Security in the Washington, DC area. You will own and standardize QMS processes across W&D/SCS, shaping the strategy and ensuring compliance with GMP/GDP regulations.

You will lead governance, risk assessments, and cross-functional initiatives, partnering with Quality and the GMP/GDP network to implement robust controls and audits. This role emphasizes global impact and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree with 2 years of Supply Chain experience.
• Masters degree with 4 years of Supply Chain experience.
• Bachelors degree with 6 years of Supply Chain experience.
• Associates degree with 10 years of Supply Chain experience.
• High school diploma / GED with 12 years of Supply Chain experience.

Responsibilities

• Define, maintain and continuously improve global QMS processes and standards for W&D/SCS.
• Lead in shaping the strategic direction and future-state roadmap for W&D/SCS QMS processes, in partnership with key stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory developments and interpret their potential impact on global processes, standards and controls.
• Provide strategic guidance for risk-based assessments, ensuring quality and compliance risks appropriately inform global priorities and actions.
• Establish and maintain process governance, including performance metrics, risk indicators, escalation mechanisms and management reporting.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to strengthen global process effectiveness and compliance.
• Partner closely with Quality and the broader GMP/GDP network to align standards, expectations and implementation.
• Provide leadership and subject-matter expertise in audit and inspection response strategies and management reviews.
• Lead change management associated with QMS process and regulatory changes.
• Build and leverage a global network of SMEs and stakeholders to drive alignment, informed decision-making and effective execution.
