Micron Technology, Inc. seeks a Global Planning Modeling Engineer to drive capacity modeling, capital planning, and financial analysis across the manufacturing network. You will present capital impacts of process changes to leaders and develop AI-assisted planning tools to enhance decision quality.

The role emphasizes capacity optimization, tool utilization, and cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing, R&D, and Planning teams to accelerate efficiency and cost savings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 1+ year of experience applying Linear Programming, Queuing Theory, Statistical Analysis, or Theory of Constraints.
• 1+ year of experience using Python, SQL, Tableau, R, JMP, Minitab, or PL/SQL.
• 1+ year of experience with Production Planning and Inventory Control concepts (BTO, BTT, BTF, EOQ, Lot Sizing, MRP).
• 1+ year of experience applying Lean Manufacturing, CPM, PERT, or Production Scheduling.
• Preferred: 2+ years in the above OR methodologies and tools.
• Experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current processes.

Responsibilities

• Optimize installed equipment capacity and lead studies to improve throughput and efficiency.
• Manage, audit, and validate Probe capacity models and systems for capital needs.
• Perform financial analyses for capital equipment investments; optimize metrics.
• Develop and manage network tool utilization strategies to improve capital efficiency.
• Communicate capacity metrics and KPIs to partners to drive improvement.
• Design, track, and present capital change proposals to leadership with Tableau and presentations.
• Create tools to improve capital efficiency and planning processes.
